Role Summary & Unique Requirements
Our firm is looking for a dedicated Associate, Client Services, to drive organizational excellence across our GP/LP interactions and fund placement processes. This is a long-term, specialized role requiring a blend of technical CRM mastery and high-level interpersonal sophistication. With a focus on proactive meeting preparation, actionable reporting, and high-profile event logistics, the successful candidate will be a cornerstone of our client-facing operations, building deep familiarity with the alternative investment landscape and exemplifying a proactive, team-oriented mindset day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interaction & Follow-Up: Function as a liaison between senior partners and clients (GPs/LPs), attend meetings, gauge client sentiment, proactively prepare partners for meetings, and provide concise, actionable summaries of interactions.
- Organizational Support: M anage meeting preparation and background research, and collaborate on scheduling and calendar management.
- Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain and manage a sales pipeline to track GP/LP interactions and fund placement progress. Leverage CRM to organize client data, track interactions, and automate follow-ups. Prepare periodic reports on client activity, sales metrics, and fund placement progress.
- Event Support: Collaborate with partners across the Marketing Department to plan and execute high-profile client events, ensuring smooth communication and logistics.

We are looking for a candidate who embodies the following:
- Emotional Intelligence & Professionalism: High Emotional Intelligence (EQ), maturity, and professionalism to interact effectively with all levels of clients and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Communication & Organization: Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Industry & Regulatory Knowledge: Willingness to build familiarity with the GP/LP landscape, deal processes, rapport-building in investor relations (IR), and regulatory requirements specific to primary fund placement.
- Technical & Analytical: Technical proficiency (CRM, Salesforce, data analytics tools), analytical skills to identify trends/opportunities, and critical thinking to provide recommendations on next steps/resolution.
- Team-Oriented & Proactive: Willing to collaborate with the PM team and other stakeholders, while also being self-sufficient when needed. Maintains a curious mindset and proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities for improvement.
Additional Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, commodities) and/or client-facing roles (corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions).
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and research techniques.
- Willingness to work odd hours, dependent on team travel needs
- This position is based in either our Charlotte, NC or New York, NY office; willingness to relocate if needed.

Base Salary: $140,000.00 – $200,000.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.Application Window
