PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR

New York University Tandon School of Engineering

The Hidalgo Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Research Scholar to work in the startup of our group, in the department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering.

The Hidalgo Lab, Circularity in Energy Materials Lab, are working towards the circularity of materials for energy conversion and storage applications.

Responsibilities

Candidates will be responsible for hands-on lab work to optimize and start fabrication of perovskite solar cells. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in perovskite solar cell fabrication as exemplified by publication record or previous laboratory experience. Previous experience on experimental lab work and glove boxes is desired.

Salary range

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate would be $34.34 for part time depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.

Expected start date and period of employment

Expected start date is: April 15. This position is expected to be for 2.5 months. Part time appointments would require a work schedule of approximately 24 hours per week

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least a BS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field and 1 year of experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
