Long-Term Head Start Classroom Substitutes

Pro Action’s Head Start Classrooms are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals for the role of Long-Term Classroom Substitutes at various locations throughout Steuben County. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work as part of our team on an as-needed, on-call basis. Whether you work just a few hours a week or several, you will be an integral part of our classroom team, directly interacting with children and assisting other classroom staff with implementing activities. Pro Action is a leader in the Human Services industry, providing a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young children.

Responsibilities

• Engage in daily direct interaction with children.
• Assist other classroom staff with implementing activities.
• Assist with children’s mealtimes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Dependability and reliability.
• Passion for working with preschool age children in a classroom setting.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $15.00 - $15.10 per hour .
