Infant and Toddler/Preschool Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate team member to join our team. We are a Montessori-style daycare with a focus on individualized and nature-based play and learning. The ideal candidate will have a background in child caretaking and a genuine love for working with young children. This role requires the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. The staff will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum and fostering a safe, inclusive atmosphere for all students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
• Provide high-quality infant care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the daycare.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's behavior positively.
• Foster an inclusive environment for students with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized facility that encourages exploration and learning.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves freely.
• You must be free from any criminal convictions or any indicated reports regarding Child Protective Services.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for drugs.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to educate young learners effectively.
• Experience in creating engaging activities that promote Montessori learning through play is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is STRONGLY preferred.
