Legal and Compliance Coordinator - Japanese
Legal & Compliance Coordinator（New York）
A global company is seeking a Legal & Compliance Coordinator to support its New York Legal & Compliance team. This role supports compliance programs, master data management (MDM), and provides legal/paralegal assistance. The position works closely with senior leadership, Tokyo HQ, and regional affiliates.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage compliance forms and filings (Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption)
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely compliance submissions
- Assess compliance risks and support transaction approvals
- Support compliance training programs and internal investigations
- Liaise with Tokyo HQ and Americas subsidiaries
- Oversee SAP-based Master Data Management (MDM) operations and supervise part-time staff
- Provide legal/paralegal support (corporate documents, NDAs, notarization, research)
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant legal/compliance or operations experience preferred
- SAP, Concur, and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; high attention to confidentiality
- Japanese language proficiency required
- Prior compliance experience a plus
