Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will support the operation of a residential program serving individuals experiencing homelessness, with an emphasis on maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. As part of a dedicated team, you will engage participants with empathy and respect while conducting rounds and responding to a wide range of needs.
Your role includes managing conflicts or challenging behaviors calmly and thoughtfully, prioritizing safety, trust, and understanding of each person’s unique circumstances. Additional responsibilities include:
- Screening residents and visitors upon entry.
- Maintaining accurate written documentation including logbook entries, incident reports, and progress notes.
- Managing inventory and supplies.
- Performing fire safety drills, maintaining safety logs, and assisting with inspections and audits.
- Providing emergency first aid, CPR, or NARCAN intervention as needed.
- Escorting clients and assisting with meal service when required.
- Helping ensure the facility remains clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
This position may require mandatory overtime.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, strong oral and written communication skills, professionalism with clear boundaries, and basic computer literacy. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
