Job Overview
Gabriel’s Bar & Restaurant is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate will provide a warm welcome, manage reservations efficiently, and ensure smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and create a welcoming first impression
Manage reservations and guest flow using OpenTable and RESY
Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
Monitor and respond to emails related to reservations and guest inquiries
Coordinate seating to ensure efficient table turnover and a smooth dining experience
Maintain an accurate waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests
Provide coat check service when needed
Escort guests to their tables and present menus
Assist with guest requests and communicate effectively with management and service staff
Qualifications
Experience using OpenTable and RESY reservation systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to answer phones professionally and manage email correspondence
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast- paced restaurant environment
Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor
Prior restaurant host/ hostess experience preferred
