Location: Brooklyn, NY
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $150,000 – $170,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Role Summary
This position supports an established pain management office by providing hands-on clinical care to patients dealing with acute and chronic pain conditions. The Physician Assistant works closely with the supervising physician to evaluate patients, manage treatment plans, and support procedural care. Each day focuses on improving function, reducing discomfort, and helping patients return to daily activities with clear, structured medical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits for pain-related conditions
- Review medical histories, imaging, and diagnostic results
- Develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the physician
- Assist with in-office pain management procedures as appropriate
- Prescribe medications within New York State scope of practice
- Educate patients on treatment options, expectations, and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active New York State Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA certification in good standing
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or related specialty preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a physician-led care model
