Position Title: Nurse Supervisor

Location: New York, NY 10037

Employment Type: Contract

Shift: Day Shift

Schedule: 5 Days per Week | 8 Hours per Day | 40 Hours per Week

Job Summary:
Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff performance management. Responsible for coordinating nursing teams, improving clinical outcomes, and supporting quality improvement initiatives across units.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required (NY State preferred)
• NYSED Primary Source Verification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 7 years nursing experience required
• Minimum 5 years supervisory/leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of nursing operations, compliance, and quality improvement
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage staff performance and corrective actions

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations and staff
• Monitor patient care quality and ensure regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement quality improvement programs
• Collaborate with nurse managers to evaluate unit performance
• Address staff performance issues and support corrective actions
• Maintain documentation for incidents, medication errors, and compliance tracking
• Support staff training, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
• Promote a patient-centered and professional care environment
