Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Product)

Location: New York, NY (Full-time, on-site 5 days/week) Compensation: $190,000 – $220,000 base + competitive equity

Hiring: Multiple candidates ASAP (aggressive expansion)

The Role Full-stack product-focused engineer owning features end-to-end. Build reliable, intuitive experiences across frontend and backend that power mission-critical AI workflows. Set technical direction within product areas, engage directly with customers, and drive rapid iteration based on real usage feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack product features across frontend and backend systems.

• Set technical patterns and direction within assigned product areas (e.g., Capture, Proposal, Contract, Platform, Data Library).

• Engage directly with customers: observe product usage, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into improvements.

• Build intuitive interfaces and APIs that help users understand, guide, and trust AI-powered workflows.

• Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows.

• Own end-to-end delivery while maintaining context across the full product suite.

Job requirements

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.

• Experience scaling production systems at a startup (Series B/C stage preferred).

• Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js .

• Comfort working across frontend (React-based UIs) and backend (service APIs).

• Expertise building and shipping large, complex product features.

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or another technical/STEM field preferred.

• Previous founder experience or background in government contracting/public-sector software is a plus.

• Comfortable engaging directly with customers to gather feedback.

• Self-starter with strong ownership mentality who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Must be a US Person per ITAR.

Traits to Avoid Extended tenure (3+ years) at large, mature tech companies without experience at earlier-stage companies.
