Accounts Payable Clerk
A large organization in Stony Brook, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment within the Procurement Department. This role primarily focuses on utility payment administration to support departmental operations during a recruitment period

- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

education: High School Responsibilities
- Payment Processing: Process monthly utility payments (electric, gas, water, fuel oil, telephone) in strict accordance with State guidelines.
- Data Management: Maintain and reconcile detailed tracking spreadsheets to ensure timely payment and eliminate past-due balances.
- Invoice Review: Verify accurate crediting of prior payments and identify discrepancies.
- System Integration: Upload utility invoices and usage data into EnergyCap for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Dispute Resolution: Research and resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with utility providers.
- Financial Collaboration: Partner with the Budget and Financial Planning team to support gas hedging approvals and utility oversight discussions.
