Employee Relations Representative

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Regional Representative to join our team for our NYC region.
The Human Resources Regional Representative reports to the Director, Employee and Labor Relations. this job offer is a hybrid position though travel across the NYC region (to local sites) is required. You will serve as employees' HR liaison and support to management on Human Resources related issues. this job offer also acts as a resource to employees for various employment and benefit issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

»Investigate, evaluate and provide guidance to managers regarding employee relations issues which resolve performance and behavior issues and promote employee development.

»Serve as a resource to employees for work related concerns.

»Respond to employee concerns and allegations regarding issues of harassment, discrimination and other potential misconduct by managers, colleagues and vendors in a timely and effective manner.

»Maintain current expertise of employment laws, regulations and best practices.

»Promote organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and agency regulations.

»Promote organizational and departmental compliance with Human Resource related HRSA standards.

»Interpret accurately and apply appropriately collective bargaining agreements and principles.

»Facilitate union and non-union grievance procedures to timely and productive resolutions.

»Provide regular reports and employee and labor relations activity.

»Ensure that all employee information is managed and maintained confidentially and securely.

»All other tasks as assigned
**Must be able to operate motor vehicle as travel is required with position.**

EDUCATION/practice
Bachelor's degree in general business or HR is required with Master's degree preferred.
SPHR or PHR is preferred. Minimum 2 - 4 years HR Generalist practice (preferably in healthcare or social services).
Excellent interpersonal and written expertise.
practice with 1199 Union is highly preferred.

Proven capability to problem solve and troubleshooting of issues. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, effective interpersonal expertise, attention to detail. Strong organizational and follow up expertise, capability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment, strong sense of urgency, capability to execute quickly and efficiently. capability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion. Desire to enhance technical expertise and learning required.
LANGUAGE expertise:
capability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. capability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. capability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
EVALUATION METHODOLOGIES:
this job offer will be evaluated located on the incumbent's capability to prioritize, time management expertise and flexibility. In addition, the incumbent's performance will be measured and evaluated according to the standardized tool used for all employees providing service to internal and external customers and incorporating Sun River Health Values.
