Insurance Office Administrative Assistant / Underwriting Support

About Us:
We are an insurance brokerage firm with over 30 years of experience serving the Flushing, Queens community. Our office provides a wide range of insurance services including individual and group health insurance, property & casualty (P&C), life insurance, retirement plans, and auto insurance.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual (Korean/English) candidate to support our team. The role includes administrative office duties as well as assisting with underwriting and insurance processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general office administrative support
  • Prepare, review, and process insurance applications and renewals
  • Assist with underwriting support tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and follow up with clients as needed
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in person
  • Perform other office-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Korean and English (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Prior office or insurance-related experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time or part-time; flexible hours negotiable
  • Compensation based on experience; to be discussed during interview
