We are pursuing a Junior Accountant to join our team in Fishkill, NY. In this function, you will be responsible for assisting the senior accounting staff in various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the company.
Junior Accountant General Requirements:
»Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
» 1-2 years of significant accounting practice
»Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
»Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
»Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication expertise
» capability to work independently and as part of a team
Junior Accountant Responsibilities:
»Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
»Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
»Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
»Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
»Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
»Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
