Internal Communications and Project Intake Manager

Pay status and classification: Exempt, Regular full-time.

Work Job location: this job offer is a hybrid function and eligible to work remotely 1-2 days per week, located on the business needs.

Position purpose: In collaboration with the Vice President for Communication and Marketing, this function is responsible for developing and implementing a robust internal communications strategy while superviseing the intake process for new organizational projects. As the primary contact point for internal stakeholders seeking communications and marketing support, this job offer works closely with the communications and marketing team to assess and prioritize these requests, ensuring they are appropriately addressed by the organization.
The Internal Communications and Project Intake Manager plays a pivotal function in advancing organizational communication and ensuring project alignment with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication expertise, proficiency in project management, and a strong capability to foster collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.

Essential tasks and Responsibilities:

» Internal Communications: Creates, edits, and coordinates a range of engaging communications content designed to keep the College community informed and engaged with important activities and initiatives of the College. supervises content development and production of the ?The Chronicle,? Union's weekly e-newsletter for staff and faculty. Monitors the effectiveness of internal communications initiatives and make adjustments as needed.

» Project Intake and Prioritization: Establishes and manages a structured project intake process, including the creation of project request forms and guidelines. Reviews incoming project requests for completeness and alignment with the organization's strategic goals. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather additional information and clarify project objectives when necessary. Prioritizes project requests located on their strategic importance, resource availcapability, and potential impact. Maintains a project intake dashboard or system to track and report on the status of all incoming projects.

» Administration: supervises creation and production of information related products including programs and digital/print invitations for major College events. In partnership with the Vice President for Communications and Marketing provides communication support to administrative organizations, specifically Student Affairs. Assists with e-newsletter mailings. Provides training and assistance to internal customers using the e-newsletter system when necessary. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.

» Compliance and Best Practices: Stays current with industry best practices and trends in internal communications and project management. Ensures that all communication materials and processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential tasks and Responsibilities:

»Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline, and a minimum 4-6 years of communications practice in an educational or corporate setting, or a combination of significant education, training, certifications, and/or work practice.

»Proficient writing and editing expertise, with a keen eye for detail.

»Demonstrated professional practice with e-mail newsletter/marketing technologies and web editing tools to effectively disseminate information and engage stakeholders.

» practice creating communications products and content for internal audiences is a plus.

»Basic graphic design, photo, and video expertise is a plus.

»Demonstrated organizational expertise, including the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

»Strong customer and constituent service ethic.

»Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow staff colleagues.
The annual income range for this job offer is $65,000.00-$70,000.00. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
