Position Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Rochester, NY

Job Type: Contract | Travel

Shift: Nights (3x12)

Duration: 13-week assignment

Hourly Pay: $50 – $60/hr

Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $2,160/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Emergency Room for an exciting Travel job in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical and traumatic emergencies, including multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation or paralytics as needed.
• Perform blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and central line care/management.
• Assist with procedural sedation and other emergency procedures.
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
• Document all care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record.
• Float to other units as needed based on patient census.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Work every other weekend and participate in flexible team scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of ER or acute care experience; first-time ER nurses considered.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Skilled in general ER care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Proficient in dysrhythmia recognition and management.
• Experienced in IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care.
• Competent in emergency medication administration and procedural sedation.
• Knowledgeable in managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
