The Role: Production Scheduler

This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the systemic verification and physical movement of raw materials, packaging components, semi-finished goods, and finished goods. The role ensures accurate SAP & WMS transactions, proper receiving, put-away, storage, labeling, dating, and FIFO procedures for all production-related materials.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor, run, and report actual vs. planned order movement for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and packaging
  • Audit WMS/SAP production material movement entries for accuracy
  • Verify and request raw materials, packaging, SFG needs, and approved substitutes
  • Support printed SAP production orders and distribute to production work centers
  • Verify and reconcile production material quantities with Inventory Control
  • Follow up on missing, cancelled, or late raw materials, SFG, and packaging between warehouse and production
  • Put away materials (up to 40 lbs) into the correct labeled storage locations
  • Follow receiving, storage, labeling, dating, and FIFO procedures
  • Provide ongoing support to all manufacturing departments within the scope of material movement processes

What You’ll Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 1–2 years of computer experience (Microsoft Office, email, production systems)
  • Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to consistently lift 40 lbs throughout the shift
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to present data clearly and concisely
  • Must follow Food Safety, Sanitation, Safety Compliance, and FreshDirect Quality policies
  • Must work 5 days per week in an early morning shift
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience in food warehousing, ERP, SAP, or WMS systems is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
