Banking Associate

CTG is seeking to fill a Banking Associate opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY- onsite Monday-Friday

Duration: 3 months+ with the ability to go long term

Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate management, custody, and organization of critical loan and financial documents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain custody of loan and financial documents within the document vault.
• Perform document review, verification, and exception processing.
• Ensure accurate indexing, filing, and retrieval of documents.
• Support audits and compliance reviews by providing timely access to required documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Follow established procedures for document security and confidentiality.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Manage and track document intake, storage, and release processes.
• Identify and escalate issues related to document discrepancies.
• Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within the vault environment.
• Adhere strictly to compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Prior experience working with document custody, loan servicing, or within a financial services environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
