Associate Systems Engineer

Location : Huntington, NY
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience).

Custom Computer Specialists (CCS) is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join our growing team and work directly with one of our valued clients. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on network configuration, server support, and deskside assistance, serving as the go-to technical resource for complex escalations. You’ll collaborate closely with district IT staff, CCS team members, and third-party vendors to keep systems running at peak performance.

• Perform basic administration on server infrastructure (group policies, scripting, permissions, etc.).
• Manage basic user administration within Office 365.
• Administer switching and wireless environments at a basic level.
• Act as the primary escalation point for Deskside Technicians.
• Monitor and report on support initiatives (imaging workstations, deployments, etc.).
• Deploy and maintain hardware and software for workstations and mobile devices.
• Provide support for standard applications, including Office 365 and proprietary systems.
• Track and manage tickets in the help desk system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a system engineering level role.
• Server certifications (AWS/Azure) or Windows Server administration experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for workstations, peripherals, and network connectivity.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on projects and support initiatives.
• Flexibility to work during non-peak periods for deployments and upgrades.
