Accounts Receivable Specialist
About The Role
BHPS has a great opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the Finance Team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for administrative fee invoicing to clients, and accounts receivable collection monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Set up new clients in our core systems to enable monthly administrative fee invoicing.
- Gather the necessary information to develop and verify client administrative fee invoices each month prior to release.
- Prepare monthly administrative invoices in our accounting system and distribute to clients with required backup.
- Prepare monthly membership reporting to be shared with management.
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are understood and cleared.
- Manage a monthly process for accounts receivable aging and reporting.
- Assist with daily cash management duties, including the scanning and recording of bank deposits and application to AR.
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone and email.
- Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts and month-end reporting.
- Manage the tracking and billing of all pass-through vendor fees, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients.
- Manage the "pay-when-paid" process to ensure vendor payments are synchronized with client receivables, upholding contract compliance and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Sort and distribute finance department mail to allow for proper attention to cash receipts and payables.
- Support other accounting team members and auditor requests.
- Bachelors degree.
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting function.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Solid understanding of basic principles of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Tolerance for adapting to evolving priorities.
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences.

Annual Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
