Compliance Associate – Credit & Private Investments (Control Room Focus)
Associate, Investment Compliance â Private Deals / Control Room
New York, NY (Hudson Yards) | Hybrid (2/3 schedule)
A leading global investment platform with $100B+ AUM is seeking an Investment Compliance Associate  to join its growing New York office. This is a high-visibility role supporting the firmâs expanding private credit and private investment activity, with the opportunity to sit close to the deal process and partner directly with investment professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as part of the firmâs Control Room : conflicts clearance, wall-crossing, restricted list oversight, and MNPI management.
- Review and negotiate deal-related NDAs  and support transaction onboarding.
- Partner with investment teams on pipeline activity, identifying and mitigating conflicts across public and private markets.
- Support integration of compliance technology platforms and data migration.
- Contribute to regulatory analysis, policy updates, and broader compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- JD required (to manage NDA execution and legal issue spotting).
- 2â6 years of relevant compliance or legal experience, ideally with control room exposure at an investment bank .
- Strong commercial understanding of deals, structures, and capital markets ; more important than pure âcheck-the-boxâ compliance.
- Experience handling MNPI/conflicts processes and familiarity with deal onboarding.
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a buy-side environment.
