Job Title: Accounting Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to manage and maintain our financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, generating reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting various financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, with Fishbowl experience as a plus.
• Generate financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review and to support month-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and petty cash on a monthly basis.
• Maintain general ledger entries and assist with journal adjustments.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoice entry and payment reconciliation.
• Invoice customers and ensure timely collections.
• Pay vendor invoices and track payment schedules.
• Enter and develop sales orders and work orders.
• Assist with quote generation for customers.
• Assist with payroll processing and expense report tracking.
• Support trade compliance by completing and maintaining export paperwork.
• Input data into our ERP system, with preference for Fishbowl experience.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and production.

Essential Skills

• Strong accounting skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems, with Fishbowl experience as a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or General Business/Management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and workflows including inventory management systems.
• Experience in defense manufacturing or ITAR compliance.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility in work location.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bohemia, NY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
