Frontend Engineer, Forward Deployed (GenAI)
About Invisible
Invisible Technologies makes AI work. Our end-to-end AI platform structures messy data, automates digital workflows, deploys agentic solutions, measures outcomes, and integrates human expertise where it matters most.
Our platform cleans, labels, and structures company data so it is ready for AI. It adapts models to each business and adds human expertise when needed, the same approach we have used to improve models for more than 80% of the world’s top AI companies, including Microsoft, AWS, and Cohere.
Our successes span industries, from supply chain automation for Swiss Gear to AI-enabled naval simulations with SAIC, and validating NBA draft picks for the Charlotte Hornets.
Profitable for more than half a decade, Invisible reached $134M in revenue and ranked as the number two fastest growing AI company on the 2024 Inc. 5000. In September 2025, we raised $100M in growth capital to accelerate our mission of making AI actually work in the enterprise and to advance our platform technology.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer focused Frontend Engineer with a world-class background in modern frontend architecture and GenAI integration to join our AI/ML team. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of high-end UI engineering, AI orchestration, and real-world impact, partnering directly with clients and internal stakeholders to design and deploy AI-powered interfaces that solve meaningful problems.
This role combines hands-on development of sophisticated user experiences with robust GenAI integration and frontend infrastructure. You’ll help build scalable, reusable UI systems, support R&D initiatives, and ensure rapid iteration of AI-powered tools in dynamic, production-ready environments. You will work embedded with our top clients in financial services to partner with designers & senior stakeholders directly, developing solutions that address complex client needs. This will require being onsite with the client 3-4 days a week on a regular basis in New York.
What You’ll Do
As part of the Forward Deployed Engineering team, you’ll contribute during a phase of rapid growth as we focus on scaling AI experiences and improving platform performance. You’ll build the "glass" through which our clients interact with AI, supporting client-facing deployments and enabling smoother workflows for generative solutions.
- Develop and Maintain AI-Powered UI: Build robust, scalable frontend systems and AI-powered experiences (chat interfaces, AI copilots, streaming responses) that support complex data processing and user interaction.
- Design System Implementation: Oversee and optimize frontend architecture to ensure efficient deployment, utilizing modern frameworks (React/Next.js) and component libraries (MUI, AG Grid).
- Problem Solving: Independently explore and address complex problem spaces in the UI/UX layer to improve system capabilities and performance without extensive guidance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI engineers and data scientists to integrate advanced AI technologies (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) via LangChain or similar frameworks, ensuring seamless operations across platforms.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate directly with our clients, working embedded with client teams to support use case discovery, product development, and AI deployment.
- Innovation and R&D: Actively participate in the research and development of new UI tools and streaming architectures that can enhance our AI capabilities and workflows.
What We Need
- Experience: 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on high-performance frontend development and deploying AI-driven interfaces in production.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+) , with deep expertise in React/Vue.js , Next.js/Nuxt.js , and Web Components (LIT) .
- AI Integration: Prior experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and familiarity with LangChain (JS/TS) or similar AI frameworks.
- UI Architecture: Extensive experience building scalable, reusable UI components using Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and Storybook; strong foundation in Algorithms & Data Structures.
- AI First Mindset: Proven ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) to accelerate prototyping, automate routine tasks, and maintain high delivery velocity in complex client environments.
- Client-Facing Grit: Prior experience working directly with clients in use case discovery, product development, and leading client engagements.
- Design & Data: Proficiency in design system implementation and complex data visualization (Highcharts, AG Grid, Swiper JS).
- Problem Solving: Ability to operate independently in unstructured environments, demonstrating a proactive and investigative approach to tackling technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical AI backend logic and intuitive user experiences for senior stakeholders.
