Tax Assistant
:
Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses- Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients- Assist in the preparation of tax planning strategies for clients- Review and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax projects- Provide support to clients regarding tax-related inquiries
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis- Familiarity with securities law and public accounting standards- Experience with technical accounting, including balance sheet reconciliation- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Knowledge of Xero or other accounting software is a plus- Understanding of debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping
