Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for an ongoing, full-time opportunity in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. In this role, you will work with adult and geriatric patients, focusing on diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will play a key role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

This is a 1099 – Independent Contractor position (no benefits).

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-time, ongoing
• Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Employment Type: 1099 – Independent Contractor
• Pay Rate: $62–$65 per hour (1099) , based on experience
• Experience Preferred: SNF experience; vent experience strongly preferred

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide therapy for disorders including articulation, voice, fluency, language, cognition, and dysphagia
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, nursing staff, and caregivers to support patient progress
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective speech therapy interventions
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• SNF experience preferred
• Ventilator experience preferred
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing
• Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor in a clinical setting
