The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club seeks to enrich and enhance the quality of life for young people by providing educational and developmental programs to youngsters between ages 6-18 who come from disadvantaged or disenfranchised circumstances. Part of the nationwide Boys & Girls Club movement, Kips Bay is a multi-service, multi-site, non-profit organization in the Bronx, NY that serves over 12,000 children a year.

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

The Payroll Manager oversees all aspects of payroll processing and related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, general ledger entries, and remote bank deposits. This role is on-site in the Bronx, NY office.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  • Process and manage multi-state payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of tax filings.
  • Oversee remote bank deposits and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, ad-hoc reporting, and assist with other accounting and bookkeeping functions as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary payroll documentation.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including 3+ years using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, taxes, and general ledger integration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience in the range of $60,000 to $70,000.
