Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist

Location: Syracuse, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay Rates:

• Local: $51.00 per hour

• Travel: $60.00 per hour (includes tax-free stipends for eligible candidates)

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours/day)

Role Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Mammography Technologist for a high-priority 13-week assignment in Syracuse, NY. This role is ideal for a technologist who values technical accuracy, patient comfort, and adherence to regulatory standards. The position involves performing mammography and stereotactic breast imaging procedures in compliance with ACR and MQSA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Imaging: Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures while producing high-quality diagnostic images.

• Patient Care: Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper positioning.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain imaging quality standards in accordance with the 1999 ACR Mammography QA/QC Manual and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC Manual .

• Documentation: Accurately enter and manage patient data within the Radiology Information System (RIS).

• Safety & Compliance: Follow all radiation safety protocols and maintain continuing education requirements as outlined by MQSA .

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

• Licensure: Active New York State license/registration or eligibility to practice in NYS.

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) – Required

  • ARRT (M) Breast Mammography – Required (must be credentialed or obtained within one year)

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience in Mammography.
