POSITION OVERVIEW
English/Language Arts Teacher - Schenectady, NYSign On Bonus - $2,500
Northern Rivers is seeking an English/Language ArtsTeacher at the School at Northeast in Schenectady.This opening is for a NYSED or out of state certified teacher with an aptitude in English/Language Arts Teacher.this job offer is responsible for the development and implementation of English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students.In this function, you will provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts Curricula and preparestudents for exit examinations and statewide assessments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
»English/Language Arts instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various capability levels,
»Classroom instructional plans with the Special Education Teacher (SET) that integrates the student's IEP goals and objectives, learning style, as well as accommodations and modifications that are needed, and
»Work with the Special Education Teacher (SET) on individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom.
EDUCATION and/or practice General Requirements:
»Master's degree in Special Education or subject area, as appropriate, and capability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21 orBachelor's degree with enrollment in a program that leads to a Master's degree may be considered.
»NYSED certification
