We are seeking a Design Coordination Lead to join our Design Management team for rail/transit infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Design Manager, you will lead the scoping, planning, and delivery of our Design-Build projects including the quality and financial performance of the design team. As part of Design Management team, we will provide you with a career development program to help you grow into a Design Manager, Project Manager, and/or Commercial Manager role.
As Design Coordination Lead, duties and responsibilities will include:
• Develop and implement the design management process for the design-build projects, including the design development, coordination, compliance review, and packaging and submission;
• Ensure that the design is compliant with the project requirements and design criteria by developing checklists and compiling applicable standards;
• Lead and coordinate the alternative technical design and value engineering process that would accelerate the project schedule, reduce the cost, minimize the impact, and/or ease of construction or approval.
• Proactively identify and take corrective actions as needed, and monitor.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and processes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that the design meets their requirements and expectations.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members, hosting meetings, issuing meeting agenda and documenting meeting minutes,
• Support Design Managers in executing the design management plan for high-quality project deliverables within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with Project Control Team, Document Control Team, and Commercial Management Team, and designers, identifying design support requirements and gap for upcoming deliverables.
• Manage a team of engineers and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of project objectives.
• Maintain/administer DB contract documents, RFI process, Design Change process, and directive process
• Triage RFI’s and initiate commercial discussions
• Lead and engage in the preparation of Proposals, Expressions of Interest and other ing material if needed for the pursuits of various projects.

• Continuously grow professional skills and knowledge through training sessions, seminars, workshops, and involvement in professional associations to stay updated on the latest trends, software, and technology.
• Managing other related assignments within the scope of the Transportation practice area.
Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer license or plan to obtain a license.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferrable in rail/transit.
• CADD/BIM (e.g. autoCAD, Microstation)

The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $180,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
