ASSISTANT FIELD LEAD INSPECTOR

KAM Consultants is a well-established NYC based environmental consulting firm, servicing the Greater New York area. KAM serves a broad range of private and government agencies. We are currently looking for a Full Time / Part time Assistant Field Lead Inspector . The selected candidate will perform lead inspections in private apartments/homes throughout the NYC five-borough area.

Responsibilities: Will assist an EPA certified risk assessor in completing lead based paint inspections using an XRF instrument. Inspections are conducted in accordance with New York City Housing Authority and United States Department of Housing and Urban Development guidelines and regulations.

? Record information relating to every tested surface in each apartment including:

• Component type, substrate, paint condition, wall number, and color.
• Inspection drawings showing sampled locations.
• Comments regarding the paint condition of each tested surface.
• Calibration shots.
• Take paint chip pictures when necessary of sampled surfaces.
• Fill out NYCHA paint chip cards with all relevant information.

? Ensure all documents are signed by the appropriate person.? Quality check all work to ensure all necessary information is recorded.? Compile Excel Worksheets.? Communicate with the supervisor and inform them of any issues.

Qualifications:

? Strong written/verbal communication skills.? Candidate must be proficient and extremely accurate with excel and word.? Minimum 6 months relevant experience in field data entry.? Bachelor's degree preferred, but high school diploma accepted with some college or equivalent experience.? Candidate must be willing to work in all five boroughs of New York City.
