Nurse Practitioner – Dermatology

Lenahan Dermatology is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our established, high-volume dermatology practice serving the Western New York community. With offices in East Amherst and North Buffalo , our team provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care for patients of all ages.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mary Louise Lenahan , a board-certified dermatologist with over 30 years of respected private practice experience, this position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving, patient-centered team committed to delivering the highest standard of care.

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our board-certified dermatologist and clinical team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions. Ideal candidates are compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a supportive, collegial environment.

While prior dermatology experience is preferred, we welcome motivated candidates with a strong interest in dermatology who are eager to learn through structured mentorship and hands-on clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive skin examinations and assess patients for dermatologic conditions
• Diagnose and manage common and complex skin diseases
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Perform and assist with office-based dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and minor surgical treatments
• Educate patients on skincare, prevention, and post-procedural care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in accordance with compliance standards
• Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure an efficient, high-quality patient experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active New York State NP license
• Dermatology experience preferred, but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care
