• $30.00 - $39.00/hour (depending on experience)
• 10% Shift differential (after 5pm on weekdays)

The Radiologic Technologist position will be part of our professional staff to perform a variety of radiologic exams to aid the providers in diagnosis and treatment of their patients. This position will complete examsin a timely and professional manner with emphasis on production of quality radiographs and high level of customer service.

Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) Responsibilities:

• Preparepatients for radiologic procedures and protect patient, selfand other staff from radiation and other safety hazards.
• Selectproper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis using the principles of ALARA and adjusts and sets radiographic controls.
• Takex-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety to includeproper infection control procedures for the work area.
• Evaluateradiographs and repeatas needed.
• Processradiographs using the operating system andsendimages.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to verify orders, document x-ray releases, route imaging reports to patient charts, and other associated patient care functions.
• Workwith radiologist and imaging center staff to coordinate the exchange of images and information for optimal patient care and result reporting.
• Prepare CD copies for patientsand other specialty/imaging centers.
• As needed, preparethe work area for stock and cleanliness while starting up all x-ray or computer units as per department protocol.

Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray)Education/experience:

• Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in science/radiologic technology or equivalent certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program
• One to three years related experience and/or training as a radiologic technologist in either a hospital or a medical practice environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• New York State license in diagnostic radiography
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required
