Assistant Server
Their main duties include:
Table Preparation; Setting tables with utensils, napkins, and condiments, refilling beverages, and ensuring menus are available for guests.
Food and Beverage Support : Delivering food and drinks to tables when servers are busy, assisting with orders.
Clearing and Cleaning : Removing dirty dishes, utensils, and glassware, wiping spills, resetting tables for the next guests, and maintaining a clean dining area.
Customer Interaction : Greeting guests, responding to requests, and communicating with servers, chefs, and management to address any issues.
- Stocking and Organization : Ensuring service areas, bars, and stations are stocked with necessary supplies and maintaining order in the dining room.
Server assistants need strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills . Physical stamina is important, as the role involves standing for long periods, lifting items, and moving quickly between the kitchen and dining area.
