Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).
Location: This position can be hybrid and/or onsite in Syracuse, NY office.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features.
- Improve on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization.
- Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
- Document and clearly communicate designs to peers.
- Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with strong programming background
- 3+ years of related professional experience
- Familiar with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience or willingness to learn C++
- Experience using and developing on Linux
- Solid understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles.
- Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, and TLS, and ideally, experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks.
- 10% travel
Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance, potential stock options.
Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $89,000 to $110,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
