Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, MI 48307 (Detroit metro area – Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital-based Imaging Support Services
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract for radiology professionals)
• Start Date: August 24, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 11pm – 7am, 5x8 hour night shifts per week, every other weekend (part-time on weekends)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per pay period
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work independently in ER, OR, and with portable radiology equipment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills

Radiology Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians, using independent judgment for technique, positioning, and patient safety
• Explain imaging procedures and prepare patients for radiology studies
• Review clinical data, obtain additional patient history, and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/RIS systems
• Set up and operate imaging equipment, including mobile radiology units, ensuring proper radiation protection practices
• Maintain procedure rooms, supplies, and sterile equipment as required for hospital imaging support
• Administer intravenous contrast media when appropriate and monitor for patient reactions
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical record and radiology information systems
• Provide guidance and support to new hires and radiology students as needed
• Demonstrate excellence in patient care, privacy, and safety at all times
