Campaign Development Assistant

Stamford Library is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven individual to support the planning and implementation of a capital campaign to construct a new library facility. This position plays a key role in coordinating campaign activities, maintaining donor records, and supporting fundraising efforts. The Campaign Development Assistant reports directly to the Fundraising Coordinator and works closely with library leadership, board members, and campaign volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrative support for the capital campaign team
• Maintain and update donor and campaign databases with accuracy and confidentiality
• Process and track gifts and pledges, including acknowledgements and billing
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and materials for donor meetings and campaign events
• Assist in managing relationships with major gift prospects and donors
• Prepare reports, donor lists, and campaign updates as needed
• Provide support for grant writing and proposal preparation, as needed Assist with general campaign communications and documentation

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Comfort working with databases and willingness to learn fundraising software
• Proficiency in standard office software
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in fundraising, development, or related field
• Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems Position Details

This is a part-time position starting at $20 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role is expected to begin at 10-15 hours per week, with the potential to grow to 15-25 hours per week as the capital campaign and building project advance. The schedule is flexible and work can be hybrid or remote.
