Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48-hour schedules with day, evening, and night rotating shifts
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as per unit needs
• On-call responsibilities as needed by unit
• Care for patients age 18 and up with intensive symptom management needs at end of life
• Provide care for general medicine overflow patients
• Perform IV therapy and wound care procedures
• Manage patients with complex needs and support families in crisis situations
• Utilize astute assessment skills to advocate for patients who often cannot speak for themselves
• NYS RN License required
• 2 years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience required
• BLS from American Heart Association required
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired
• Telemetry experience is NOT required
• Must demonstrate compassion and ability to manage complex patient situations
