Styling Coordinator

Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Styling Coordinator to join our team in New York, New York, reporting directly to VP, Brand. This position will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our campaigns and lookbooks, contributing significantly to the overall success of our projects. Your attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally are essential in maintaining our brand's integrity and delivering compelling visual content.
Duties and Responsibilities
Styling Calendar Management:
- Collaborate with the production & ecommerce teams to incorporate styling dates into various internal calendars.
- Schedule style-out days and pre-shoot styling sessions with models, setting deadlines for the procurement of additional styling items beyond our product inventory.
- Partner with production, merchandising and logistics teams to ensure product availability for shoot dates.
Operational Execution:
- Track and maintain records of receipts, ensuring timely and accurate submission support
- Source styling items and set design elements to enhance the ALD assortment and support cohesive project storytelling.
- Support outfit assembly in a way that aligns with the project vision.
- Prioritize prominent showcasing of high-value and hero pieces during content capture.
Product and Inventory Oversight:
- Ensure all required products are available for style-out days by maintaining an awareness of in-bound dates and line-item status.
- Follow the sample request SOP to request products with appropriate partners to ensure the accurate status and location of every item.
- Maintain detailed tracking and serve as the source-of-truth for product whereabouts, condition (e.g. damaged on set, etc), and accuracy (eg, embroidery on final will be different) for marketing and creative teams before, during, and after content capture.
- Ensure merchandise is returned with proper documentation and on deadline.
Pre- During, and Post-Production:
- Partner with production and VP, Brand to identify new faces and manage an ongoing casting deck.
- Ensure model specs are shared with e-commerce teams and keep a record of sizes worn in each look.
- Conduct pre-capture styling reviews to identify missed opportunities and prevent style repetition.
- Assist the VP, Brand with administrative tasks and document management during all style-outs for e-commerce and editorial shoots.
- Manage all pulls and preparation of merchandise prior to shoots.
- On capture days, ensure that models are fully styled and dressed in complete looks, including jewelry, accessories, and headwear before they step onto set.
- Ensure that hero items are appropriately highlighted in the final content.
- Collaborate with the team to review photo selects in order to ensure product details are accurate and selects reflect the highest-quality, final content.
- Set up and organize on-set styling elements, ensuring all wardrobe items and tools are in place to maintain efficiency and reflect ALD's aesthetic standards.
- Maintain a fully stocked and organized styling kit on set to support seamless styling needs throughout the shoot.
- Review flat photography from e-commerce studio shoots to verify accurate product depiction, consistency across images, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Liaise with Retouching teams to ensure all intended notes are actioned before product launches
- Work with merchandising, retail, and ecommerce teams to ensure accuracy of products captured.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- 2+ years of on-set experience styling for e-commerce and/or editorial shoots
- Photography, Adobe Bridge, and Capture One experience preferred
- Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter, confident decision-maker, and team player
- Strong self-autonomy with proven ability to manage time and workload independently
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities while staying organized
- Willing to take initiative and go above and beyond to meet project goals and exceed expectations
- Demonstrates a strong sense of pride in all aspects of work, consistently ensuring every task, regardless of size, is completed to the highest standard.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to accommodate travel and photoshoot calendar as needed
- Appreciation and passion for Aimé Leon Dore's brand, creative styles and sensibility
- Physical requirement - must be able to lift between 20 lbs - 50 lbs
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
