Teacher Aide - Preschool

The Preschool Teacher's Aide provides appropriate level of student supervision to ensure and protect student health and safety, while fostering student independence through age appropriate activities. The Teacher's Aide is expected to assist students with expertise connected with classroom activities and routines as well as safe transitions all over the classroom and school building. this job offer is located in Pine Plains.

Flat $15.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

»Provides appropriate supervision to ensure the health and safety of students.

»Works to increase student independence in everyday living, communication, academic and social expertise domains.

»Takes an active function to ensure preparedness and organization within the classroom environment.

»Acts as a member of a school and classroom team presenting student progress, challenges and abilities in a respectful manner

»Works with students in a classroom setting to use proactive, behavioral strategies and teaching techniques to enhance skill acquisition

»Acts as a responsible employee of Anderson Center for Autism

General Requirements:



General Requirements:

»
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year’s practice working with the developmentally disabled population.

»Must be capable at all times of assisting students in the orderly evacuation of the school, by both primary and secondary paths in the event of fire or other emergency
