Float Registered Nurse (RN) for Residential Group Home

We are pursuing a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and work in our Residential Group Homes. The ideal candidate will have previous practice working with children and adolescents and be comfortable working in a different location each day. This is a temp / temp-to-hire opportunity, and we welcome new graduate RNs to apply.
This group home has locations in Wappingers Falls, Pleasant Valley, Poughkeepsie, Salt Point, and LaGrangeville. Your work location will change everyday so you must have reliable transportation to get to each location.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm

Registered Nurse Qualifications required

»Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing

»Previous practice working with children and adolescences is required

» practice working in a Residential Group Home or with OPWDD population is preferred

»Strong clinical and critical thinking expertise

» capability to work independently and as part of a team

»Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise

»Must be comfortable working in a different location each day

»New graduate RNs are welcome to apply

Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

»Administer and monitor medication as prescribed by physicians

»Assess the health needs of residents and provide appropriate care

»Document all nursing care given and communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

»Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans

»Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each resident

»Provide education to residents and families about medical conditions and treatment plans

»Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on resident care
