SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – SCIENCE – MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, private, special education school who is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to teach Middle and High School Science to students who have special learning needs.

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Salary - $70,000-$82,000 Depending on experience

Excellent benefits package – Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Program

Days/Hours: Monday, Thursday, Friday: 7:55a.m. to 2:40p.m, Tuesdays 7:55am-3:30pm and Wednesdays 7:55am-4pm.

Responsibilities for the Special Education Teacher:

· Create academic plans and goals based on assessment data

· Monitor and analyze each student’s progress related to communication, academics, behavior and social skills

· Involvement in the IEP process

· Work with service providers, home base providers, parents and the multidisciplinary team

Requirements for the Special Education Teac her:

· Minimum of a MA in Special Education or a related field

· NYS Certification in Special Education Grades 1-6 or 7-12

· Minimum of 3 years previous experience teaching middle or high school students with learning disabilities

· Must have prior experience teaching Science in a special education setting

· Highly skilled in the IEP process

· Ability to work with parents, teachers and faculty

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Able to provide 3 business references
