The name HOWOO reflects both “Good Meat” and “Rain Shower,” symbolizing premium beef, balance, and togetherness around the grill. Rooted in Korean culinary tradition and elevated through thoughtful execution, HOWOO offers a refined yet approachable dining experience centered on exceptional ingredients and warm hospitality.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead the culinary direction of HOWOO. This role is ideal for a chef with deep expertise in Korean cuisine and barbecue, a strong understanding of premium beef, and a commitment to consistency, leadership, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations and culinary execution
- Develop, refine, and execute menus focused on premium Korean barbecue and traditional accompaniments
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage kitchen staff, training, scheduling, and daily operations
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate closely with ownership and management on menu development and overall guest experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in Korean cuisine
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume kitchen while maintaining quality and precision
