We are a busy, patient-centered dental practice providing care for both children and adults . Our team is friendly, supportive, and committed to delivering high-quality dentistry in a welcoming environment. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive dental care and patient education while supporting a smooth, efficient schedule in a fast-paced practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy office, values teamwork, and enjoys building strong relationships with patients of all ages. SPANISH SPEAKING IS A PLUS ******
Responsibilities- Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing as appropriate
- Take and review dental radiographs
- Conduct periodontal charting, gather health histories, and update patient records
- Educate patients (kids, teens, and adults) on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive strategies
- Apply fluoride and sealants
- Assist with sterilization and operatory turnover following infection control protocols
- Communicate findings clearly to the doctor and collaborate on patient care plans
- Help maintain an efficient schedule while delivering a great patient experience
- Current Dental Hygienist license in NY
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety/infection control
- Experience with Open Dental preferred (not required)
