ATC Healthcare Nassau County is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate school-based opportunity in the Woodmere School District .

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students in a supportive educational environment while helping them strengthen communication skills and achieve academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group speech therapy services in a school setting

• Conduct speech and language assessments

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Complete and maintain all required documentation and progress notes

• Write and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Support students with speech, language, pragmatic, and social communication challenges

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success

• Help improve speech production, language development, literacy, and executive functioning skills

Qualifications

• Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License required

• NYS School Certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable professional demeanor

• Knowledge of language development, speech disorders, and literacy development
