Title: Leasing Agent
Location: Brooklyn, NY & Long Island City, NY
Pay: $65,000–$75,000 annually
Schedule: Thursday–Monday; days off Tuesday and Wednesday. Weekend availability is required.

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Leasing Agent to support luxury residential rental properties in Brooklyn and Long Island City. This is an on-site role supporting a growing leasing team, with responsibility for touring prospects, managing inquiries, supporting applications, maintaining listings, and helping drive leasing performance across assigned properties.

This is a great opportunity for someone with leasing, property management, hospitality, customer service, or sales experience who enjoys being client-facing, building relationships, and helping prospective residents through the leasing process.

Schedule & Location

• Thursday and Friday: Brooklyn, NY
• Saturday through Monday: Long Island City, NY
• Tuesday and Wednesday: Off
• Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage activities related to apartment rentals, including marketing, leasing, and customer relations
• Register and tour prospective residents, highlighting the benefits of the property and community
• Follow up with prospects and use strong closing techniques to support leasing goals
• Respond to online inquiries and phone calls regarding availability, applications, and building policies
• Maintain knowledge of apartment inventory, pricing, application requirements, and property details
• Track prospect information accurately and completely within internal systems
• Collect and prepare verification documents to support application processing
• Work closely with the verification team to help move applications forward efficiently
• Administer leases and related legal documents with strong attention to detail
• Manage vacant apartment listings across key websites, updating them daily for accuracy and quality
• Handle lease assignment requests in partnership with management
• Monitor market conditions, competitive properties, and leasing trends
• Collect detailed market comparables as directed
• Partner with the leasing, marketing, and management teams to identify changes needed based on market activity

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in leasing, property management, hospitality, customer service, sales, or a similar client-facing role preferred
• NYS Real Estate License required, or actively pursuing with ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a polished, professional demeanor
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exceptional service
• Experience with property management and leasing software preferred
• Ability to learn new systems in a changing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Weekend availability required
