About The Role:

The A&R Research Manager is a key role in supporting A&R efforts for ONErpm’s NY office. This role requires strong communication, project management, and coordination skills as well as an in-depth understanding of the current music industry climate and relevant streaming/social platforms.

As part of the ONErpm team you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group across A&R and marketing teams. You will learn about every side of our business and have the opportunity to grow into a larger position within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Discover talent through A&R research tools to identify potential signings

• Critically analyze streaming data utilizing applications such as Chart Metric and Music Connect

• Research data and assets across a wide variety of artists and genres

• Compile and present streaming, playlisting and, social media data (Spotify, TikTok, and Instagram) to identify emerging artists

• Identify key streaming growth tactics

• Reach out and communicate with new prospective artists and their teams

• Research new methods of expanding data analytics

• Attend weekly meetings, collaborate with and provide support to US A&R staff

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in an A&R Research capacity

• Strong analytic skillset, knowledge of music and the ability to identify commercially viability

• Understand “trends” before they become mainstream.

• Work well independently, take initiative, identify potential issues and problem solve accordingly

• Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment and cohesively with others and interact with internal stakeholders and external partners

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Well organized, highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Creativity and willingness to think outside the box
