Property Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support accounting operations for a portfolio of our client's properties. This role will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Monitor property-level expenses, accruals, and prepaid accounts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts.
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
