General Manager
The General Manager leads the vision, strategy, and guest‑experience culture for a vibrant Google campus encompassing 19 cafés. This is a high‑impact, relationship‑driven role designed for a collaborative leader who thrives in innovative environments and enjoys building strong partnerships with a world‑class client.
You will shape the hospitality experience for thousands of Googlers every day by guiding the Assistant General Manager, supporting the Café Managers, and partnering with culinary and service teams to deliver thoughtful, tech‑forward, people‑focused food experiences.
This role represents an exciting opportunity to influence dining innovation, elevate large‑scale hospitality programs, and help define what great looks like inside an iconic tech workplace.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the strategic hospitality partner to the Google client, building trust through transparency, collaboration, and creativity
• Lead service vision and operational alignment across a 19‑café ecosystem
• Translate client goals into actionable strategies that elevate hospitality, sustainability, technology use, and the overall food experience
• Participate in planning sessions, innovation labs, and cross‑functional initiatives that support Google’s culture and workplace experience
• Partner with culinary, marketing, and experience teams to introduce new concepts, service models, wellness programs, and global food experiences
• Lead pilot programs and tech‑enabled service enhancements that support the Google culture of experimentation
• Stay attuned to industry trends and bring forward ideas that energize the guest experience and strengthen program impact
• Foster a team culture that celebrates creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement
• Guide full P&L performance, forecasting, and financial strategy for the campus
• Identify operational efficiencies, cost‑management opportunities, and ways to enhance value for both the client and guests
• Ensure compliance with company standards, sustainability commitments, and client expectations
• Lead, coach, and develop the Assistant General Manager, who oversees Café Managers
• Support leadership growth, succession planning, and team engagement across the campus
• Steer labor planning, scheduling strategy, and payroll review with a focus on fairness, balance, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the Chef and culinary teams to shape menu direction, food innovation, and creative programming
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and storytelling meet the expectations of a design‑driven workplace
• Inspire teams to deliver a warm, inclusive, memorable hospitality experience every day
What We’re Looking For
• Experience leading multi‑unit foodservice or hospitality operations, ideally in a high‑volume or innovative environment
• Comfort managing leaders (AGMs, Café Managers) and supporting large, diverse teams
• Strength in client partnership, relationship building, and strategic communication
• Background in operational strategy, financial management, and program development
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for elevating the guest experience
• Experience with catering or large‑scale production is helpful
• Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field
• Six plus years of leadership experience in foodservice, hospitality, or experience‑driven environments
• Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a leading hospitality organization serving a global tech client
