Business Development Representative

Compensation: $80,000 base salary + $120,000 OTE + equity

With strong product-market fit and consistent inbound demand, the team has built a high-velocity sales motion and is now investing in outbound to accelerate growth. The company operates in a large, fragmented market with significant opportunity, and the team is focused on building a durable, category-defining business.
The Opportunity
Our partner is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help build and scale their outbound engine. This role will focus on top-of-funnel pipeline generation, working closely with Account Executives and leadership to identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities.
You will play a critical role in expanding market reach by connecting directly with decision-makers and helping shape outbound strategy. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is early in their sales career and wants to develop into a closing role, while gaining exposure to a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting (calls, email, events, and conferences)
- Identify and engage key decision-makers within target accounts
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives
- Support field and event-based prospecting efforts, including conferences
- Collaborate with AEs to refine messaging and improve conversion rates
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, activity, and pipeline in CRM systems
- Provide feedback on market trends and prospect responses to improve go-to-market strategy
Requirements
- 0–3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and operating in dynamic environments
- Proactive, organized, and driven to meet and exceed targets
- Ability to operate with a high level of ownership and adaptability
- Interest in growing into a full-cycle sales role over time
