ATF Electrician - Level III (Third Shift)
We are looking for a talented ATF Electrician - Level III (Third Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Increase equipment reliability by troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems so production equipment stays available, capable, and safe to operate.
- Strengthen workplace safety by stopping unsafe work, reporting hazards immediately, modeling proper PPE use, and helping build an interdependent safety culture.
- Elevate craftsmanship and quality by applying high standards of workmanship, following diagrams and specifications precisely, performing quality inspections, and raising issues early to prevent costly failures.
- Reduce downtime by supporting failure analysis, providing feedback to the preventive‑maintenance system, and helping identify root causes that improve long‑term equipment performance.
- Enhance operational efficiency by conforming to electrical codes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and completing repairs that keep production flowing smoothly.
- Develop team capability by instructing and coaching others, serving as an informal technical resource, and sharing best practices that raise the skill level of the entire team.
- Support continuous improvement by working with peers to reduce constraints, schedule maintenance around production needs, solve problems collaboratively, and participate in TPM and process‑improvement activities.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- One of the following minimum requirements: — At least 7 years of experience in a relevant trade field, or — A Journeyman Trade Certificate with relevant experience, or
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to provide training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production.
- A 2-year technical degree in a related field, plus 3 years’ experience working in the Machine Repair/Industrial Electrical field
Electrician Specific:
Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code) is required along with training, authorization, and certification in 70E.
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills of PLC, HMI, Servo Drives, CNC, automation, and Robotic controls is required.

Compensation:
$2.29 shift premium in addition to base pay
